The Delhi High Court on Monday dismissed a PIL seeking interim bail for AAP supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is behind bars in connection with now-scrapped excise case.
The bench, led by Acting Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Manmeet Pritam Arora, also slapped Rs 75,000 fine on a law student who filed the PIL.
“This court is of the view that the present petition is not maintainable as R5 (Arvind Kejriwal) is in judicial custody in pursuance to the judicial orders which have not been challenged in the present petition,” the bench stated.
