Amid the ongoing investigation in the case related to the firing incident outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence, Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch on Thursday wrote a letter to the Home Ministry asking for a look-out circular (LOC) to be issued against Anmol Bishnoi, brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
Anmol Bishnoi came under the radar of Mumbai Police after he posted a message on Facebook claiming responsibility for the firing at Salman Khan’s house in Mumbai.
Earlier on Tuesday, news agency PTI reported that the Mumbai Police’s crime branch during its probe recovered two pistols, three magazines and 13 bullets from Gujarat’s Tapi River.
Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, the two suspects in connection with the firing incident outside Galaxy Apartment on April 14, were arrested on April 16 in Mata No Madh near Bhuj town, Gujarat. The arrest was the result of joint effort by the Mumbai and Kutch police teams.
During the interrogation, the suspects disclosed that they disposed of the weapons into the Tapi River from a railway bridge while en route to Bhuj after fleeing Mumbai. It was revealed that the duo’s primary motive behind the shooting seems to create “terror”.
It was alleged that Gupta and Pal were acting on the instructions of the Bishnoi brothers (Lawrence and Anmol Bishnoi). According to sources, the investigation revealed that Anmol Bishnoi was in direct contact with Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta via internet calling. The two accused were paid Rs 1 lakh in advance for the shooting and were promised to receive Rs 3 lakh more after the job was done.
