The revamped Club World Cup is set to take place in the United States between June 14 and July 13, with 32 teams from across the world taking part in the competition.
The tournament will bring together the most successful club sides from each of the six international confederations: AFC, CAF, Concacaf, CONMEBOL, OFC and UEFA.
Among the powerhouse clubs in the field are: Manchester City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan. There’s also the four highest-ranked teams from South America: Flamengo, Palmeiras, River Plate and Fluminense.

Lionel Messi will be in action at the Club World Cup, representing Major League Soccer side Inter Miami.
The club was selected as the representative of the host nation after winning the Supporters’ Shield as the best MLS team in the 2024 regular season, with a record-setting point total.
In fact, Messi and Co. will host Egyptian club Al Ahly in the tournament’s opening match at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
Will Cristiano Ronaldo play at Club World Cup 2025?
Cristiano Ronaldo will not feature in the Club World Cup with his side, Al Nassr, after it failed to win the AFC Champions League or the domestic league title last season.
Out of the 32 spots in the competition, only one is reserved for a Saudi Pro League side. Al Hilal will be the only Saudi team to compete for the trophy, having secured its place after winning the league title last season.
