Rahane’s stay in the middle finally came to an end as he edged Anuj Thakral’s good length delivery to Rohit Sharma behind the stumps. He was dissmissed for 108 runs.

After taking a first innings lead, defending champion Mumbai started off its second innings rather slowly and lost two wickets before reaching 50. However, Rahane and Siddhesh Lad stitched a 52-run partnership to take their side out of the woods.

After Lad fell, Rahane partnered with Suryakumar Yadav and added 129 runs for the fourth wicket to put Mumbai in the driver’s seat.

Southpaw Shivam Dube and Rahane added 85 runs off 124 deliveries for the fifth wicket as Mumbai is currently at 314/5.
