NEW DELHI: An IndiGo Delhi-Bengaluru fight had to abort its take off on Friday night after sparks flew from one of the engines. Luckily the aircraft, Airbus A320ceo, halted safely.
A passenger shooting take off video on 6E-2131 captured the “scary moments”, which she later tweeted. The passenger, Priyanka Kumar, tweeted the video, saying: “Scary experience on Delhi runway! This was supposed to be a take off video but this happened. IndiGo.” The video tweeted by her shows fire near or on one engine.

Further details, including comments from the airline, are awaited. IndiGo sources say they are arranging alternate aircraft to take passengers to Bengaluru.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has sought a report on this incident and has initiated a probe.
