Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav landed in Mumbai on Friday to attend the wedding of industrialist Mukesh and Nita Ambani’s youngest son Anant Ambani with Radhika Merchant, daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant got engaged in a traditional ‘Roka’ ceremony at the Shrinathji Temple in Nathdwara town of Rajasthan’s Rajsamand in the presence of family members and friends in 2022.
The Anant-Radhika wedding is all set to welcome the who’s who from the world of politics, arts and entertainment such as Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
The wedding will also be graced by renowned, accomplished academics, inventors, innovators, and doctors, highlighting the strong intellectual and scientific relationships nurtured by Reliance and the Ambanis over the years. The wide spectrum and walks of life of the guests indicate the Ambani family’s focused efforts to nurture deep, inclusive, and meaningful relationships.
The wedding is set to commence on Friday at the 16,000 capacity Jio World Convention Center, complete with a red carpet to showcase A-list attendees clad in — per the dress code — classical Indian attire. The day after the nuptials will see the “Shubh Ashirwad” or divine blessings ceremony. Here, the couple seeks “Ashirwad,” or blessings, from the elders in their community.
The mammoth festivities conclude on Sunday with one final celebration of the couple: the “Mangal Utsav,” or reception. Guests have been to dress in “Indian chic”.
The wedding will also be a testament to the convening power of Reliance Industries and Mukesh Ambani, a leader who has played a pivotal role in India’s economic ascension.
