Veteran NBA small forward Danny Green has cleared the air regarding the state of his career.

The 37-year-old has declared that he has not retired from the game despite being without an NBA team for nearly a year, and he is open to making a comeback in the league.

“I would love to come back if I had the opportunity. I have not officially retired. There’s free agency going on right now, and my phone lines are open,” Green told Valley Central.

Green last played for the Philadelphia 76ers during his second stint with the team last year, appearing in just two games before being waived in November 2023.

Green has played a crucial role in three NBA championship teams throughout his career, starting in 2014 with the San Antonio Spurs, ending in 2019 with the Toronto Raptors, and ending in 2020 with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The sharpshooter enjoyed regular minutes on the floor for most of his career until suffering a torn ACL and LCL in his left knee after colliding with teammate and Sixers star Joel Embiid in May 2022 during the playoffs.

Green had brief stints with the Memphis Grizzlies and Cleveland Cavaliers in 2022-23 before his latest tenure with the Sixers.
